last three in a row.

ranked 20th.

Since 2013, Korea has played away friendly matches against the United States every other year.

Having failed to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics, South Korea is gearing up for the 2026 AFC Women's Asian Cup and

the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup.

The United States, which was shocked into the round of 16 at the 2023 Australia-New Zealand Women's World Cup and

raised the need for generational change, will challenge for its first Olympic gold medal in 12 years with a lighter heart

thanks to the performances of its "young guns" including Trinity Rodman, Lily Johannes, and Sophia Smith.

Coach Bell used the 3-4-3 formation again this time, following the first match.

Lee Geum-min (Brighton), Cathy Eugene Fair (Angel City), and Choi Yu-ri (Birmingham) were in charge of the attack,

while Choo Hyo-joo (Hyundai Steel), Ji So-yeon (Seattle Reign), Jeon Eun-ha (Suwon FC), and Kang Chae-rim (Suwon

FC) were in the midfield.

The three-back defense line consists of Lee Young-joo (Madrid CFF), Kim Hye-ri (Hyundai Steel), and Lee Eun-young

(Changnyeong WFC) from the left, and the goalkeeper gloves are worn by veteran Kim Jeong-mi (Hyundai Steel).

The United States took the lead in the 13th minute of the first half when Crystal Dunn slotted in a low cross from Jenna

Nicewonger on the left in front of the 스포츠토토존 goal.

Korea tried to attack the opposing team with enthusiasm, but was defeated in both strength and technique, and had a

difficult time playing the game.

Korea's only effective shot in the first half was Ji So-yeon's right-footed direct shot from a free kick opportunity on the left

side of the penalty arc in the 30th minute, which was blocked by goalkeeper Casey Murphy.

Coach Bell made a change at the start of the second half by replacing Jeon Eun-ha with veteran midfielder Cho So-hyun

(Birmingham City), but there was no significant change in the flow.

In the 17th minute of the second half, the United States brought in veterans in their 30s, including Alex Morgan and

Lindsey Horan, as well as Nicewonger, and sent out a young attacking lineup in their early to mid-20s, including Smith,

Sam Coffey, and Rodman.

In the 27th minute of the second half, 16-year-old Johannes, who plays for Ajax in the Netherlands and is considered the

next-generation American ace, was brought in.

A younger America was more frightening.

In the 22nd minute of the second half, Rodman intercepted the ball and passed it to Smith, who was rushing to the left of

the goal, and Smith beat Kim Jeong-mi and shot from the left square to make it 2-0.

In the 32nd minute of the second half, Rodman's powerful left-footed shot from the right side of the goal area grazed Kim

Jeong-mi's fingertips and hit the crossbar.

Johannes scored the winning goal in the 37th minute of the second half after receiving a pass from Rodman.
